Kicking off " guitarsrusnova " on facebook. I'm hopeful that maybe this thing can become more than just about me offering music theory lessons and combining that with guitar and bass lessons. Be cool if it could develop into a sort of musical forum where students of mine and anyone else who finds this page can make INTELLEGENT commentary about things music related. That they can feel free to post gig pictures or short vids, share gig experiences and discuss equipment. Keep the commentary honest, clean and no bs or agro going down between anybody. Such as: I am a tube purist, and an in your face vintage Marshall style tone tube purist to boot. Personally, I can't stand solid state amps. But, you know what? Especially recently with the advances made in modeling amps, I have seen and heard some players get amazing tones out of a solid state rig. So, there are guys that sound great with a solid state amp and love their modeling rig. OK for them. Who am I to judge what works for them? We all have a favorite guitar or bass and a favorite rig. Some of us may be fortunate enough to own that guitar/bass/ amp rig. I've been playing out of my Bettencourt / Circuitrix.com repo of Jimi's 1968 Plexi SuperLead for the last 6 years and can't hardly imagine playing through another amp head. But that doesn't mean that amp, along with my pedal board and fx rack and choice of cabinet will work for everyone. So - all I ask is that, if this develops into a sounding board/ meeting place for guitarists and bassist to just trade shop talk - is let's keep it civil. Welcome one and all !!!
