Kids here at Alpha STEM for the Gifted have been able to learn about Scratch Programming, an online software made for kids for primary schoolers.

In learning scratch, many of these kids have learned about how to make simulations, animations, and create their own video games from the many ideas they have.

This experience has provided these children lots of interest in the world of Programming and its languages, eager to explore more.

For our Summer 2017 Alpha STEM Summer camp, the children had learned about many different kinds of arts and crafts, fun chess activities along with an enrichment in the Chinese language.

Some of the childrens' works were taken pictures of to serve as memories they made at this summer camp.

Our 2nd Phoenix Chess Cup happened on the 18th of August. Ever since the 1st Phoenix Chess Cup, we've gotten more participants for the second chess cup.

There were multiple award winners for this tournament, such as a Top Girls awards, K-8 & K-5 & K-2 Sections (4-Round Swiss - G/30;d5) and Open Quads (Adults and K-12 G/45 d/5).

This is a wonderful opportunity for early language immersion and to explore Robotics, Coding, Chess, Math, Science, Arts & Crafts with award-winning coaches and wonderful peers. not just to explore languages, technology, & enjoy arts, but also, a journey of enrichment, excitement & creativity rarely found elsewhere.
