Exciting to see Student Council President Bensten Schone ’27 and his family featured on The TODAY Show this morning!

When Bensten was six years old, he survived a traumatic brain injury and faced a challenging recovery journey. That life-changing experience inspired his older sister, Izzy, to pursue nursing — she now cares for children every day as a nurse in the Inova Pediatric ER.

Today, Bensten is not only leading our student body, but he’s also a standout student-athlete who runs cross country and track — even taking 1st place in the Inova 5K earlier this summer! 🏃‍♂️💨

Shouting out some incredible Husky leadership! 🐾

Aarav Shah ‘27 and Raina Shah ‘29 were recently featured in the Fairfax County Times for leading Virtual Volunteers — a student club they founded together to connect student tech talents with local nonprofits. Under their leadership, the club has already helped 30 community organizations elevate their digital presence over the last two years!

It’s inspiring to see siblings team up to empower fellow students and drive real change. We love seeing our Huskies use their skills and student agency to transform our community! 💙💚

Flint Hill students traveled to Costa Rica for the 2026 EF Student Leadership Conference, joining hundreds of peers from around the globe.

Centered on “The Power of Environmental Stewardship,” the multi-day event challenged students to use the design thinking process to prototype solutions for climate action, ocean conservation, and sustainable innovation.

Out of 60 global teams, only eight pitched on the main stage — and our very own Charlie ’29 was among them!

After the conference, our Huskies traveled south to Peru to explore how Indigenous communities have lived in harmony with their environment, from historical times to the present.

Highlights included learning about earthquake-prevention techniques in colonial-era architecture, painting tiles in a traditional ceramics workshop, watching a Quechuan weaving demonstration, and touring Machu Picchu!
