Summers is a Certified Academic Language Therapist trained in Sounds In Syllabes and the Barton Reading and Spelling Program. Multisensory, structured, academic language therapy takes place in Oakton, Virginia. Parents and students find a safe, nurturing learning environment that optimizes reading, writing, and spelling acquisition while instilling confidence and a love of learning. Children with
dyslexia learn differently, and no child is the same. Therefore, Ms. Summers uniquely customizes therapy for each student. Successful remediation requires a commitment from students and their families. Students meet with Ms. Summers three to five times a week. The length of treatment depends on several factors, including the severity of dyslexia, whether other issues are present (such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and the frequency of sessions. Families must understand that we will go "as fast as we can, but as slow as we must" with your child's success as the goal. Summers helps students of all ages. Home school, public and private school students, college students, and adults are all welcome. It is never too late!
