👩‍🍳 🍎 Summer learning was on the menu for members of our Child Nutrition team. Several of our lunchroom employees took advantage of the opportunity to attend Chef Ann Foundation Culinary Training, where they sharpened their cooking skills, tried new recipes, explored new techniques, and gained hands-on experience in the kitchen. 🔪 🥕 🍽️

👏 A big shoutout to team members from Dora High School, Oakman Elementary School & Oakman Middle School, and Parrish Elementary/Middle School Tornadoes for investing in their skills and bringing fresh ideas back to our school kitchens. We can’t wait to see what they cook up this school year. 🌟 👩‍🍳 ❤️

📱 IMPORTANT: Walker County Schools App Information

Parents and guardians, as you begin using the new Walker County Schools app, please remember this important step:

📧 You MUST use the SAME email address that your child’s school has on file for you in PowerSchool.

The email address you use to access the app must match the email associated with your parent/guardian information in PowerSchool. Using a different email address may prevent you from accessing information connected to your child.

✅ Same email in PowerSchool = Correct access in the new app

If your app is not working, instead of choosing the option "login with Google"select "forgot password" and log in with the same email address that you have in Power School

Download the new app. Once you have it on your device you can use your email that is listed under your student in PowerSchool (contacts) click forgot password. It will send you a link to establish a password. Once you are in your child’s teacher will send you a QR code to join their chat. This will take the place of Remind.
