In just ten minutes, your and your child can play the drums in a band! Get out some large tupper wear containers or pots and pans, and some wooden or plastic spoons. Turn the containers so that the open side is face down. Allow your child to bang on the containers. Talk with your child about music. Show your child how to make a simple beat and see if they can do it do. As if your child you like to make a song to go along with their music!

Some days, our kids don’t need us to cheer them up.. they need us to understand them. 💛

A grouchy mood is often a signal, not a character flaw. When we respond with curiosity instead of criticism, we teach our children that all feelings are welcome and that they never have to earn our love by being “easy.”

Which one of these would your child need to hear today? ⬇️

This August, use our gratitude journaling calendar to identify the beautiful moments of summer, past summer memories, and so much more.

Especially during late August when summer’s coming to a close, practicing gratitude is a great way to stay positive and shift your outlook.

If you’ve been gratitude journaling with us throughout the year, keep the habit going with our next calendar! If you’re new to it, this is a great one to get started with.
