The final piece of our PTO Playground Project came to close this week. Last year, we added a new bench to the playground area, as well as ramp matting. This week, thanks to the incredible work by Burnin’ Metal and the Clipboard in Colby, Kansas, the donor sign and playground rule signs were delivered and hung. When we revisited our donor list during the final stages of ordering, it reminded us how fortunate we were to receive so much support for this much-needed project. Without each of the donors, the wonderful volunteers during construction, and the overall school and community support, this would not have been possible. Each day, this play space is utilized by our school students, as well the community as a centrally located, inclusive recreation area.
So many thanks to all who were involved.
As a reminder, please continue to be mindful of the rules, and please continue to provide the respect this area deserves. It takes a village to accomplish major projects, and it continues to take a village to take care of those same spaces. Cameras are and will continue to be used to monitor these areas around the school.
