Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the 1st Annual Rookies & Relics Tournament!
It was a great night of Oakley basketball, and thankfully there were no major injuries other than the stinging pain of defeat.
Congratulations to Camden Cranney’s drafted team for coming out on top and being crowned tournament champions!
Kohl Beck’s squad won the 3-point contest and entered the tournament as the #1 seed, proving that while some of the relics may have lost a step, they haven’t lost their shooting touch.
Kace Bedke took home the Little Hornet Lightning title.
We are also happy to report that the Check Engine Light Award went unclaimed this year. Apparently the relics had just enough oil left in the tank to make it through the night.
A huge thank you to Matt Beck and Ryan Hawker for cooking a delicious meal, the Oakley Booster Club for all they do to support Oakley Athletics, and Kody Beck for hosting the evening.
Thanks again to the players, families, fans, and everyone who helped make this first year such a fun success. We hope the rookies had fun, the relics recovered quickly. We hope to see everyone back next year for the 2nd Annual Rookies & Relics Tournament!
