COMISIÓN SEXTA ZAPATISTA
MÉXICO

August 9, 2026.

To the National and International Sixth:
To those who signed the Declaration for Life.

Compañeros and compañeras:

Please accept our respectful greetings. We wish to inform you of the following:

1.- One of the main objectives of our trip to and stay in Mexico City is to meet with the collectives of "Searchers" (*Buscadoras* and *Buscadores*—those searching for missing loved ones). We aim not only to listen to you and amplify your demand for truth and justice, but also to convey the collective embrace of the Zapatista peoples and communities. Through that embrace, we hope to let you know—at least to some small degree—how much we admire, respect, and care for you.

To ensure we can meet with any search groups—regardless of geography, schedule, color, race, language, religious belief, history, or political affiliation—that wish to do so, we have asked the Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas Human Rights Center (Frayba) to help us prepare and organize these meetings, with the support of the "All Rights for Everyone" Network (Red Todos los Derechos para Todos y Todas), the Pro Human Rights Center, and various human rights NGOs. Frayba has responded positively to our request and has set up a dedicated email address. Through this channel, groups, collectives, movements, and organizations from Mexico and Central America—all dedicated to finding truth and justice for their missing loved ones—can propose dates to meet with us in Mexico City during December 2026.

We also ask that you indicate whether you require any support for lodging and meals during your stay in Mexico City. We are confident that individuals, groups, collectives, movements, and organizations belonging to the Sixth and signatories of the Declaration for Life will respond generously. However, should that not be the case, the Zapatista delegation of the Journey for Life—Mexico Chapter is prepared to share shelter and food with you. ...including reducing the size of the Zapatista contingent so that no one is left without temporary lodging.

The details provided by Frayba are as follows:

Email: [email protected]

They have also made the following mobile phone numbers available:

Dora Roblero García: 967-134-07-59.
Pedro Faro Navarro: 967-102-06-40.

Frayba indicates that each group that makes contact will receive a form to fill out with the necessary information, allowing them to organize the data required to schedule the gatherings.

2.- Another objective is to meet with groups, collectives, movements, and organizations of "The Sixth" in Mexico City and the surrounding areas. This is to agree on activities and explore the possibilities for a second stage of this chapter of the Journey for Life.

We believe that while we are in Mexico City, we could carry out actions to relaunch "The Sixth" within the geography known as "Mexico."

To this end, comrades from the Anticapitalist University Network (RUA) will assist us in overseeing and organizing any proposed activities. Contact can be made via the following email addresses (there are two, in case one goes down):

[email protected]

or

[email protected]

3.- Should any person, group, collective, movement, or organization wish to provide financial support for the Zapatista delegation's travel, the comrades from the collective "Llegó la Hora de los Pueblos" (who played a prominent role during the pre-candidacy campaign of CNI comrade Marichuy) have opened an account where donations can be deposited or transferred. The details are:

BBVA Bank. Account number: -1577840961-
Interbank CLABE: -012540015778409612-

In the name of Alicia Castellanos Guerrero.

Bank address: BBVA Bancomer Plaza Cuernavaca.
Avenida Vicente Guerrero 110, Lomas de la Selva, Postal Code 62270.
Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

We are providing every possible detail so that the ineffable and indescribable Secretariat of the Interior—always eager to unmask the “strange enemy” (ha!)—won’t struggle to answer the question that causes it the most anguish: namely, “Who on earth is financially backing the mobilizations from below and to the left?” The disappearances? Bah, those aren't on the agenda with the Gringos.

Furthermore, we are prepared to call for a rally in front of the federal Secretariat of the Interior and invite everyone who has contributed in any way to making the Zapatista embrace of those seeking truth and justice a reality.

That way, the Secretariat of the Interior won’t need to divert resources into investigating those demanding truth and justice, and—finally—it can dedicate itself to searching for all the missing persons. And to producing them alive.

Or, perhaps, it will at least serve to make them realize that Mexico is not, fortunately, the 4T. It is something bigger, more powerful, with more historical roots of struggle, resistance, rebellion, and dignity. Four words: struggle, resistance, rebellion and dignity, whose meaning is unknown to the 4T.

Because, much to their regret and friendships that accompany them up there (with "A"), the geography called "Mexico" will transcend them, survive and prevail.

4.- We call on the people, groups, collectives, movements and organizations of the Sixth and signatories of the Declaration for Life, to meet, discuss, promote and propose activities for this trip.

5.- One of the many ideas we have is a march-manifestation with the flag of "ALL THE STRUGGLES AND A COMMON DEMAND: TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR ABSENCES."

One where every part of the whole raises its demands, maintaining their identities and differences, and all, all, all, coincide in the demand for an answer to the most important question today in Mexico and Central America:

Where Are They?

6.- We call on those who do not surrender, do not sell themselves and do not give up, to embrace, together with us the Zapatista peoples, the most important movement, largest in dignity, most heroic and consequent of these times in Mexico and Central America: that of all the people who, on the contrary, do not resign themselves to the fight for their absentees.

That's all.

From the mountains of Southeast Mexico.

Sub-Comandante Insurgent Moisés. Captain Insurgent Marcos.

Sixth Zapatista Commission.

Mexico, August 2026.
