🎭 Laney talent on the Bay Area stage!
We’re proud to spotlight Michael Anthony Torres, Director of Laney College’s Theatre Arts Department and founder of the Fusion Theatre Project, who was recently featured for his performance in Crowded Fire Theater’s West Coast premiere of “Manning.”
A professional Bay Area actor for 40 years, Michael has built an impressive career on stages throughout the Bay Area, across the country and in Europe, while bringing that real-world theatre experience directly into the classroom at Laney.
In its review of “Manning,” Bay City News praised Michael as a “longtime and excellent local actor” with the ability to “gracefully access” the emotional depth of his character, Julio.
We love seeing our faculty continuing to practice their craft while inspiring the next generation of artists at Laney.
