The Cleveland Elementary PTA needs your support today so we can continue to fund programs for our amazing Cleveland Cubs and Cleveland’s fantastic staff! Our goal is to raise $50,000 by October 8th, and your tax-deductible donation of any size can help us get there! Go to https://givebutter.com/2nSBb5 to easily and securely donate by credit card, PayPal or Venmo. You can also donate by check or cash at the school.
Your contribution will help the PTA fund enrichments that benefit all Cleveland students, including Music with Cantare, Ecoliteracy, Cultural Arts, K-2 Literacy Support and MOSAIC (5th grade camp) as well as the staff wishlist. Cleveland is a very special school with a strong, caring community that reflects the beautiful diversity of Oakland and thrives on our shared values of responsibility and inclusiveness. Your support is deeply appreciated!

Hello Cleveland Families,
Welcome back from break :) We are in our last week of the Fall Donation Drive, and we need everyone's help if we're going to meet our goals! We've raised just shy of $18,000 and 20% of the school has participated (YAY). Thank you for this strong start, and please join me now in making an even stronger finish! Many of you have indicated that you'd drop off a check at school or donate through Paypal, this is awesome. We lovingly encourage you to make it a to-do this week!
Ready to participate? Help your child's class get a Zoom Movie party! You may fill out one survey for multiple students in your household. Here is the Fall Drive survey in English (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScg4mdmvLkHPYaftecg5pEjxTHRNubKLL9LY_vNSudfivynrg/viewform?usp=sf_link), and it is also available in Chinese, Spanish, Amharic, and Vietnamese. The garden is growing with all the love that's come in!

Greetings Cleveland Community. The PTA’s Fall Donation Drive runs Monday, November 16th through Friday, December 4th. Regardless of whether you are able to make a donation, the Fall Drive is a time for all Cleveland families to participate by reflecting on what makes the school special. Our theme this year is “Growing in Community,” and our goal is for 80% of Cleveland families to participate by filling out this quick survey (https://forms.gle/VEyMnD1eVTxoHSkp8 - see links in the form for Spanish Español, Chinese 中文, Vietnamese Tiếng Việt, and Amharic አማርኛ). Classes with 100% participation will get a Zoom movie party, and every response will be added to our “Growing Garden” graphic that will be printed and displayed at the end of the drive!
Did you know that the wonderful enrichments that benefit all Cubs, like Ecoliteracy, Cultural Art with Ms. Rachel, Music with Cantare, MOSAIC, and K2 literacy support, as well as a staff “wish list” for supplies and enrichment events, are fully funded by the PTA? Our hope is that families who are in a position to donate will do so, and every donation is greatly valued, no matter the size. Recognizing that many families are in a tough spot this year, the PTA has significantly reduced the fundraising goal for this year’s drive to $35,000. Donations of any side, including recurring monthly donations, can be made here or through the survey.
See the flyer for more details and info about donating by check

Video Bridges and Bingo Party
September 3, 5:00pm
(Advance Zoom Registration is REQUIRED!)
Please take these two steps to enjoy the party:
1 - Individualized bingo sheets are the last page in ALL Week 3 homework packets. Each packet contains a Bingo Sheet with a unique ID number. We encourage all families to come by Cleveland and pick up a packet, ESPECIALLY if they want to participate in the bingo game.
2 - Register! ALL families need to register with Zoom and enter their student's bingo card ID #. We highly encourage families to pick up packets BEFOREHAND, so they have their bingo cards ready to enter during registration.
When: Sep 3, 2020 05:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)
Register in advance for this meeting:
https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0kfuqvpz4pEte0qfQ3bT0l96yiGF6Gwb9t
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
If a family does not have a packet or does not want to play bingo they can enter “000” as their card number when registering. If folks still have not been able to register by Friday, September 28th, they can email me (Mr. Mike) and I will be happy to share that link with them: [email protected]
Greetings Cleveland Community!
The PTA will hold the first PTA meeting of this academic year on Wednesday (8/19, 6:30pm) on Zoom (expanded details below). An agenda will be provided in advance of the meeting.
This academic year will require additional support for the entire Cleveland Community in novel and fulfilling ways, so I hope you can join us Wednesday (or any other 3rd Wednesday of each month) at the PTA meetings online to find out how you can support (and be supported) by the Cleveland Elementary PTA.

Greetings Cleveland Community. Just a few days away from the start of school on the 10th. We are all looking forward to seeing everyone virtually as classes begin. In the meantime please join the PTA (Parent Teacher's Association). It's just $10 per person and gives you the ability to vote for how we build and fund programs. This year will look very different in terms of fund raising and programs so joining the PTA is a guaranteed way to secure us funds for future programs.
