This Labor Day, we’re recognizing the legacy of Senator Robert F. Wagner and his lasting impact on American housing and labor policy.

Born on September 16, 1877, Wagner helped shape some of the most significant policy advancements of the 20th century. He was a driving force behind the Housing Act of 1937, also known as the Wagner-Steagall Act, which established the United States Housing Authority and strengthened the federal role in supporting safe, affordable housing for lower-income households.

His work reminds us of the close connection between stable employment, safe housing, and the ability of families and communities to thrive.

Congratulations to this year’s NAHMA - National Affordable Housing Management Association Drug-Free Kids Art Contest winners!

Every spring, residents at AHMA member properties submit original artwork for the NAHMA Calendar Arts Contest.

This year’s theme was 𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑂𝑢𝑟 𝐹𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒: 𝐵𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑇𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟, and the entries showed incredible creativity from residents in our member communities.
