Happy Halloween from our St. Anthony Tigers!

St. Anthony students spent their Fun Friday competing in a Salsa making contest. We had pico de gallo, mango salsa, guacamole, and corn salsa. All were tasty treats to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Last week our 8th grader girls went on their first high school tour to . They had a chance to sit in on some extracurricular courses and experience high school. We’re getting excited!

Back to school night at St. Anthony’s was a success. It was a blessing to see everyone together. We are so excited for the coming year.

We wanted to alert you that Natalia Perez Rivera’s parents reported her missing this weekend. She was last seen Saturday, August 13th, around 10:30 AM in the 2200 block of 48th Avenue. We have been in touch with Natalia’s mom and the Oakland Police Department (OPD), a missing person’s report has been filed. OPD’s Criminal Investigations Division Missing Person Unit (MPU) is actively looking for her. Please contact OPD’s MPU unit at 510-238-3641 if you see or hear of anything regarding Natalia’s whereabouts.
 
In the meantime, as a community of faith, we hold Natalia and her family in prayer during this difficult time.

As a staff, we will continue to have conversations about what can be done to communicate our care and support for Natalia and her family, while also creating a sense of normalcy for all students, as we prepare for the first day of school.

Students enrolled in ‘s went on a field trip to Tilden Park. They had a blast making friends with students.

Field Trip Friday with ‘s Space2Cre8 summer camp. Students from St. Elizabeth and our St. Anthony Tigers went to to check out their new bug and crystal exhibits.

Happy National Chocolate Ice Cream Day! After a lesson about how to make ice cream, the St. Nicholas classroom enjoyed chocolate ice cream cones for their hard work today!
