Made my first original dessert, completely improv-ed! I found a bunch of baby beets with the stems and leaves on the corner and roasted them. Then i marinated them in honey. I made a corn flour based buttermilk/ vanilla batter and baked em into muffins. I made a cardamom- scented syrup with the stems and deep fried the leaves. Sprinkled it with sunflower seeds bc what reminds you more of the old country than beets and sunflower seeds? 👌 🌻

*1 The AASSS: an acronym for Anti-Anarchist.ultraviolent.Sexual.Sect.Specialists, were known interchangeably amongst Daniel Amanita (Destroying Angel) and The Master Of Major Damage as “the AV club”*1a, and amongst the rest of Major Damage as “aardvarks” for their grey suits, often hideousness/hideous ability to somersault away from any awkward or dangerous situation.
*1a a double entendre for their unsociable nerdiness, affection for Star Wars/Trek/Dr. Who and their innate ability to immediately master any piece of pre 21st-century machinery of electronics.
*2 not only X chapters too late, but unorganized, incompetent, clueless, and totally unprepared to deal with the situation at hand
*2a: although they did, however eliminate certain numbers of the unoriginally organized but eventually machinelike in their prescription for destruction.
