This is a dedication to my Young King. WE did it CHAMP! This has been my most challenging student. Not because he was a bad kid, he’s actually a phenomenal kid. He was my most challenging student because when it’s your child, you don’t have to restrain yourself verbally or physically. But I had an aha moment when he was in 4th grade. I discovered that it was unfair to my children if I used more restraint and discipline dealing with other peoples children and not my own. Once he hit middle school in Oakland, he finally saw me as a teacher professionally and not just as dad. That’s when the shift happened and I knew he was gonna be alright. I’m so proud because I ain’t know what I was doing on this journey, but we figured it out. Congratulations Junior, you already beat the odds. The world is yours son, now GO BE GREAT!!

Happy Birthday to my Queen! You’re influence will forever be a staple in the man that I am becoming daily. Rest in Heaven Grandma
Administrators will try to fast talk you if you’re not careful. Based on the student population of some schools, they can do that with a large number of parents. Don’t let that be you or your child. ASK QUESTIONS and make sure you have an understanding of “the facts” being presented against your child. If you don’t, things will be put into the system on your child’s permanent record that will leave a stain on their character and follow them when it may have just been a poor choice by an adolescent
There’s a few ways to find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF), this is just one.
What I like about this method is that it incorporates prime factorization as well.

Soooo this is an old clip I found where I was helping someone write equations in slope intercept form.
This quick example can be used to set a foundation for graphing linear equations as well.

Piecewise functions can be real tricky so here’s a few things you need to know if you want to understand them better.
1. You have to know how to read inequality statements so you choose the correct function
2. You have to know how to find the value of a function based on a given independent variable
3. Lastly you have to know how to simplify an algebraic expression
Once you understand these few things, you’ll get a better grasp of working with piecewise functions
Solving logarithmic equations is definitely upper level mathematics however….
This is still algebraic because you are solving for a variable. And when you solve for a variable, you must use inverse operations
