Hello Everyone! Sorry there hasn't been much activity here. How would you like to have a special ocean science presentation at your school or camp?

Ocean And You is teaming up with UC Berkeleys Academic Talent Development Program this summer! I'll be teaching two kindergarten classes in Richmond, starting July 24.

Two neat storytelling events are coming up in our area! Richmond public library is hosting a free family storytelling event on February 9 at 2 PM, and La Pena Cultural center in Berkeley is hosting an afternoon of love stories on February 10 at 3:30 PM. Come and listen.

Just took the California teacher test, CSET -- five hours to answer 180 science questions, many of which required calculations. Definitely passed, probably did better. Look out teacher certification, here I come!

Big Night last night! I told my equator crossing story "hard shells" at Tell It On Tuesday in Berkeley. It was my first time telling on a proper stage, with an adult audience. (As opposed to the hundreds of kids who've heard some of my other stories). Friends and colleagues tell me I knocked it out of the park! http://www.tellitontuesday.org/
