Today we're celebrating our loyal, loving, and furry best friends! Dogs have a special way of teaching us some of life's greatest lessons—kindness, loyalty, unconditional love, and the joy of being a faithful friend.

At Lakeside Christian Academy, we love helping children grow not only academically, but also in compassion and character. National Dog Day is a wonderful reminder to care for God's creation and to treat every animal with gentleness and respect.

August Theme Spotlight: My School & Me!

The school year is off to an exciting start, and throughout August, our students will begin exploring Unit One: My School & Me through the Frog Street Curriculum.

This month, we'll be building confidence, friendships, and a love for learning as we discover:
🏫 My School – Learning about our classrooms, school community, and daily routines.
💪 My Body – Understanding our bodies, expressing our feelings, and practicing positive social skills.
👀 My Senses – Exploring sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch while learning more about ourselves.

Every lesson is thoughtfully designed to help children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in a fun, hands-on, Christ-centered environment.

As we jump into another wonderful school year, one simple step can make a big difference—please label all of your child's belongings! 🏷️

Adding your child's name to their personal items helps our teachers:
✅ Return misplaced items quickly
✅ Prevent mix-ups in the classroom
✅ Keep your child's belongings organized
✅ Make daily routines run more smoothly

Please remember to label:
🎒 Backpacks (inside & outside)
💧 Water bottles
🥤 Cups & snack containers
🍼 Pacifiers & teethers
🍎 Lunch bags
👶 Diaper bag items, diapers, wipes & extra clothing
✏️ School supplies and other personal items

A few minutes of labeling at home helps create a smoother day for everyone—especially your little one!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing Lakeside Christian Academy families who joined us for Meet the Teacher Night! Your smiles, excitement, and conversations reminded us why we love what we do.

It was such a joy watching children explore their new classrooms, meet their teachers, reconnect with friends, and begin dreaming about all that's ahead this school year. Every handshake, hug, and happy face made the night so special.
