OUSDs 7th Annual Pacific Islander Spring Celebration happening this coming Thursday May 9th, 2024. La Escuelita 6:30pm-8:30pm. We look forward to celebrating student academic excellence, perfect attendance and of course our Senior Class of 2024. Come out for a fun evening of community and cultural celebration. All families should have already received invitations for this event. Please contact our office if you have any questions.

🌟Tomorrow students The 24th annual OUSD Latino Student Honor Roll will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024! 

🏅Students with a GPA of 3.75 or higher will be celebrated at the honor roll festival.
Students have received their invitation in the mail! Those invited students will receive a certificate, and MUST be in attendance to receive their medal. The first 250 students who attend will receive a T-shirt to wear on Latino Student Honor Roll Day on Monday April 15!

🌟 Don’t miss this fun filled afternoon with a resource fair, performances and prizes! Parking is limited please arrive early.

🏅Los estudiantes con un GPA de 3.75 o superior serán celebrados en el festival del cuadro de honor.
¡Los estudiantes ya recibió su invitación por correo! Los estudiantes invitados recibirán un certificado y DEBEN estar presentes para recibir su medalla. ¡Los primeros 250 estudiantes que asistan recibirán una camiseta para usar en el Día del Cuadro de Honor de los Estudiantes Latinos el lunes 15 de Abril.

🕯️🙏🏼This year Bret Harte Middle School and Montera Middle made ofrendas at the Oakland Museum on 10/29. It was filled with student made sugar skulls representing the sweetness of life, flowers and pictures of family we continue to remember. 🕯️🌻What a great way to be in community in Oakland. It was a fun filled day with many ofrendas, music and food.

🕯️✨Shout out to Dewey Academy for their Dia de Los Mu***os altar and creative shadow boxes made by the leadership class honoring the memories of people who have inspired them. Rest in Power
Dewey has celebrated Dia de Mu***os for the past 12 years and we’re so happy they have continued their tradition.
