What a beautiful first week of school! 💙✨

New friends, creative play, and jumping into our weekly challah baking tradition. We ended the week in our favorite way, gathered as a community for a warm and meaningful Shabbat!

Throughout the week we brainstormed together about ways to make Shabbat feel extra special for everyone. The campers decided to invite all of our loveys to Shabbat. They explained that the loveys could pretend to enjoy challah while we shared the real, delicious challah together.

To make the space feel magical, we decorated the stage with rainbows and clouds.

The campers took such pride in seeing their ideas come to life, and it was wonderful to watch them work together to create a meaningful experience for everyone.

Our summer butterfly exploration has been pure magic! 🦋 We danced like butterflies, painted their colorful wings, and celebrated as our caterpillars metamorphosed into beautiful butterflies. This past week, we released them into the world, ready to spread their wings and fly. 💛

We kicked off Camp Chaverim with lots of fun this week! From Water Day splashes to getting a messy with art activities, and all camp Shabbat with Rabbi Mates-Muchin! it's already been a great start.

We also started learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar and can't wait to watch our little friends grow over the next few weeks. 🦋
