Dive into the Between the Greens Reports!
These reports provide in-depth comparative reviews of strongly rated California math curricula to support informed final adoption decisions. They were developed to support districts in choosing between a few similar, highly rated programs, or, in other words, to help you decide between green-rated options.
The reports:
- Feature criteria-based strengths and considerations (e.g., accessibility, assessment tools, usability, and task and teacher supports).
- Provide evidence-rich summaries detailing how each curriculum meets district-defined priorities.

Looking Ahead: California’s ELA/ELD Literacy Adoption
This June, the California Department of Education will be posting its final literacy professional development (PD) program recommendations online to support LEAs with PD programs for teaching literacy in TK-5 as they look ahead to instructional materials adoptions next year. Then, per the Schedule of Significant Events, the Instructional Quality Commission (IQC) will make ELA/ELD instructional material program recommendations in September 2026, followed by final approval by the State Board of Education in November. Are you planning to adopt new ELA instructional materials next school year? We’d love to hear about your needs as we plan out our offerings!
