Mills, a minority-serving women's college in Oakland, is recruiting for a one-year part-time Distinguished Visiting Professorship of Computer Science for someone with strong industry achievements and a commitment to diversity. Please consider the position for yourself and help spread the word.

**Distinguished Visiting Professor of Computer Science (part-time)**

Mills College invites applications for an endowed part-time position as a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Computer Science for the 2021-2022 academic year. We seek a computer scientist with industry experience who is committed to breaking barriers for women and underrepresented students. The Chan-Norris Professorship is designed to provide excellent teaching and to enhance the exposure of our students to careers, networks, and opportunities beyond what is normally housed at Mills. The selected candidate will teach one computer science elective of their choice per semester, serve on master's thesis committees, and run the department seminar series, which includes bringing in outside speakers. We particularly welcome curricula that support social justice and provide our students with up-to-date skills. There are no degree requirements.

While we prefer candidates who can teach on our campus, we are willing to consider candidates who would carry out their duties remotely.

Compensation for the position is $40,000 over two semesters.
