📝 With Rosh Hashana just around the corner, our students have been busy writing and sending cards of well wishes out to the entire community. Each year our 8th grade students (pictured here) love the opportunity to write as many personal cards as they can in the time we have for them. The joy our students exude while writing these cards is palpable, and we hope you feel that love when receiving them!

During their first full week on campus, students enjoyed their recess breaks on the gorgeous upper yard. With perfect weather showcasing the lovely grounds and landscaping, our mixed-grade recess breaks encourage a variety of socialization and group play options. Kindergarten through 3rd enjoys a longer morning snack and recess on the upper yard, while 4th-8th graders have their lunch and recess there. Returning students are excited to be back, and new students are quickly discovering their favorite places here and around campus.

Another school year has begun at OHDS! As our tradition goes, the first day of school began with an all-school gathering, which included a beautiful moment of our oldest students gifting flowers to our youngest and newest students. Parents stayed briefly for coffee and mimosa mocktails, while students moved into classrooms and got comfy in their new spaces.

We feel so grateful to have this school community, and are excited for the year to come!
