📢 Legislative Update: AB 2497 has passed out of the Assembly Appropriations Committee.

Amendments were added prior to the vote removing "Dry Needling" from the bill without prior notice to Asm. Johnson or CPTA.

Important provisions still remain, including:
✅ Unrestricted direct access
✅ Ordering DME
✅ Expanded PTA supervision

The full Assembly is expected to vote by the end of May. Now is the time to show your support — send a letter today and stay tuned for future CPTA Legislative Alerts for updates.

Grab a drink and advocate for your profession! Join us 5/7 for our second district meeting and social event of the year.

We'll start the evening with food and drinks from 5:30 - 7:00pm and then jump into our business meeting to share what the district has been up to and what's coming.

We'll be discussing AB 2497, our modernization bill, that is currently being battled out in Sacramento! You can learn what's been happening with the bill and how you and your colleagues can help ensure it passes!

Food and one drink will be covered for all district members. Non-members are also welcome (with a $20 fee to be paid upon arrival).
