🌿 What if the next step in your career is learning to lead differently?

This time the work you do is centered around nature and its systems so you can sustain yourself and work in balance with nature and each other?

After 10 years (this month 🎉), I’m bringing back my flagship training program I rolled out back in 2020. Now I’m partnering with Benerd College to make it an official certification in Nature Based Leadership. You get up to 15 continuing education units (CEU’s) on top of the core curriculum to get you trained up on the social justice, healing centered, holistic approach to leadership development. Coaching skills are also a must to level up your capacity to work through challenging people dynamics!

We can’t solve the world‘s problems if we can’t work together effectively on them.

So, what if nature could help you find your way forward?

The Nature Based Transformational Leadership Certification invites you to explore a different approach to leadership - one rooted in nature’s wisdom, healing, land, justice, and the power of relationships. So you can lead your own groups in nature, socially conscious of the impact.

Take the full, 3 course load to…

🌱 Explore how nature systems can inform more restorative regenerative ways of leading.
🌱 Build skills and communication, coaching, and relationship repair.
🌱 Developed the capacity to create meaningful change while staining yourself along the way.

This isn’t about bypassing the realities of the world and learning nature wellness tools. It’s about developing the skills, perspective, and capacity to meet those hard truths more fiercely.

The frustration and uncertainty may have you reimagining your career, expanding your professional tool kit, or looking for a more values aligned way to serve your community. The certification offer space to reconnect with what matters and put your values into practice.

You don’t have to accept the ways things are to learn how to lead the way you want to.

If you’re ready to consider a different path forward, visit the program page. The link is in the bio to learn more.

What I’ve learned through my own cycles of burnout is this:
you don’t just need rest — you need anchors.

You need something that brings you back when you start drifting away from yourself.

A vision. A reminder of your “why.” Community. Practices. Support.

And sometimes, a shift in beliefs and habits that says:
I cannot keep living and leading this way.

That part hasn’t always been easy.
But it has been necessary.

I’ve had to learn how to recognize burnout sooner, honor what’s happening, and stop trying to do it all alone.

If you’re carrying a lot right now and you know you can’t keep doing this the same way, come join us.

This is the kind of space I wish I had sooner — and I’m building it for women like us.

If you’re a woman of color leader carrying a lot right now, I created this space for you.

A cohort-based program designed specifically to help interrupt burnout cycles, reconnect with your purpose, and build the support you shouldn’t have to carry alone.

We’ll be live on Wednesday at 1 PM — registration is in my bio.

See you there!

Not all exhaustion is burnout.

Sometimes it’s compassion fatigue — when your care, empathy, and sense of responsibility keep you giving long after your energy is gone.

That’s why discernment matters.

When the heavy and negative responses of resentment and cynicism start creeping you you might want to take a pause and see if your headed towards another cycle.

So what’s the difference between compassion fatigue and brurnout?

Watch the full video on my YouTube channel, and drop “compassion fatigue” in the comments if you want the direct link to the interview.

I was LOVE BOMBED recently 💣❤️‍🩹😬

And because I allowed my compassion to be a crutch I allowed him to still stay in touch with me. Boy, was that a waste of time!

But have you ever noticed that your compassion can become a crutch?

The compassion crutch happens when we’re deeply caring, empathic, high-capacity women and we end up staying in situations that quietly drain us — relationships, workplaces, roles, and responsibilities that no longer support oue well-being.

When you naturally want to understand, forgive, and give people grace, it can be beautiful.

But it can also keep you overextending, overgiving, and ignoring your own limits.

And for many women of color in leadership, this shows up as a burnout cycle:

* staying too long
* carrying too much
* giving too many chances
* confusing compassion with self-abandonment

This is why burnout is not just about being tired.

It’s often about how we’ve been conditioned to stay available, stay strong, and stay useful — even when our body and spirit are asking for rest.

If this resonated with you, I invite you to follow along here for more honest conversations about burnout, boundaries, and healing for women of color in leadership.

And if you’re ready for deeper support, follow me and stay tuned for my upcoming burnout recovery program — created to help you move from exhaustion to a more sustainable, grounded, and restorative way of leading.

Did you know the the World Health Organization classifies burnout as “an occupational phenomenon, resulting from chronic workplace stress that hasn’t been successfully managed”

So why then are we not working on baseline policy to ensure our employers are treating our workforce with dignity? Systemic oppression basically.

But when we’re in burnout we need an immediate fix. We need ways to pull ourselves out of the vortex and make better sense of where we are. We need clarity on where we are using our time and energy more efficiently.

Sometimes that may require a pivot.

Be part of a community that will help you pull through this seemingly never ending cycle so you can find yourself giving from a place of fullness, ease, and joy.

Our cohort starts on Tuesday 9/29.
Be with us.
Dismantle and unpack together.
Remember who you are 🫶🏽

DM me for a link to talk to me about where you are in burnout and if this cohort is where you need to be.

Burnout does just come out of nowhere. It’s a period of time where you’re starting to see the signs that something needs to shift.

It’s not a coincidence that you’re exhausted.
It’s not a coincidence that you have no boundaries.
It’s not a coincidence that you’re working where you work.

When you’re in a cycle of burnout, take that as a moment SHOWING you that you have limits.
It’s a time where you’re being shown where to redirect to, what needs to shift, what needs to purge.

And sometimes it’s easier to notice what the core issues are when you gather in community with others that know what you’re going through.

Join the upcoming cohort of women of color leaders who want to, not only interrupt, but stop the cycle of burnout. And finally put that exhaustion to bed! 🛏️

We start Sept. 29th & go for 8 weeks.
Comment BURNOUT and I’ll send you a link to book a call w/ me.

For women of color leaders, we can normalize being rageful so much so that we don’t even stop to ask what we’ve been carrying, where INSIDE of us the rage is coming from.

We just keep going.
We keep performing.
We keep telling ourselves we’re tired because it’s the system.

But so often, underneath that exhaustion is hurt.

Hurt from being treated without dignity.
Hurt from never getting the apology, the acknowledgement, the care.
Hurt from having to hold too much for too long, in spaces that don’t always know how to hold us back.

I know this not just from my own burnout cycles, but from the 50+ conversations I’ve had with women of color leaders who kept naming the same thing in different ways.

Sometimes what looks like rage on the outside is really hurt that hasn’t had a place to land.

That’s why I believe we’re better off getting to the core issues more quickly.

Not because the hurt is small. But because it’s costing us so much energy to stay in the swirl of it.

What helps us begin to move out of that vortex of emotional overwhelm is not more pressure.

It’s safety.
It’s a judgment-free community.
It’s being in a space where we don’t have to explain every layer just to be understood.

That’s part of what I created Rhythms to Renewal for.
Our inaugural cohort begins September 29th, and if you feel like this is your moment to begin healing burnout differently, the link is in my bio to book a 1:1 call with me so I can hear your story and share more about the program.

Somewhere along the way, burnout stopped looking like stress and started feeling like disconnection.

Disconnection from joy.

Disconnection from clarity.

Disconnection from the version of you that used to feel alive.

When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, it can start to feel like you’re moving through your work on autopilot — present, but not fully there. Responsive, but not resourced. Giving, but not truly nourished.

And maybe that’s the quiet heartbreak of burnout: not just the exhaustion, but the way it can dim your sense of self.

If you’re a woman of color leader doing mission-driven work and you’ve been feeling this way, I want to invite you into Rhythms of Renewal — a space created to help you interrupt the cycle of depletion and return to yourself with more care, more grounding, and more support.

The link is in my bio if you’re ready to explore whether
this is your next step.

A big part of what keeps us in burnout cycles is resistance to pausing.

Not because pausing is wrong.

But because somewhere along the way, we learned that pausing was unsafe, selfish, or not allowed.

The truth is: we often need to unpack the beliefs underneath that resistance.

⏸️ Some of those beliefs helped us survive.
⏸️ Some helped us keep the peace.
⏸️ Some helped us not rock the boat.

But they may not be serving you anymore.

That’s why I’m creating a space for women of color leaders to talk through these patterns, get support, and build more sustainable rhythms with less guilt and more care.

If you’re feeling this, comment “permission to pause” and I’ll send you the link to the program page.

We begin Tuesday, September 29th with our first meeting.
