Education Consulting that focuses on demystifying and diversifying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) through workshops, seminars, public speaking, teaching, and media appearances. r in the classroom and showcases women in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Audiences of all ages are invited to be in the know about how science really works and experience how fun it actually is. Reason for In The Know
“Can you name one or two women scientists on television?” was the question CaT often posed to friends and colleagues. She knew that a change was needed. So it is In The Know's mission to change the perspective of women in Science, Technology, Enginnering, and Mathematics fields, otherwise known as STEM. Women are very present in science and make valuable contributions to the world, but young girls look up to reality stars and singers rather than women in STEM fields. And a lack of women science role models for girls will result in less female involvement in the STEM fields. How In The Know came to be:

CaT realized the need for an increase in the female presence in science on television and in media. She wanted to fulfill that need by creating a show that showcased her love for science and how women, especially women of color are paving the way in STEM. The idea for the show was sparked in a casual conversation with a friend when he asked Bobino how would she impact the world? While working on her Master's degree in Conservation Ecology at Cal State East Bay, CaT Bobino joined forces with the Communication Department to make her idea a reality. After meeting professors and students whom thought that CaT was on the right track, they began to put together a plan and a time line to produce the show. She felt that by doing a series of episodes that could be posted online and ultimately, be aired on TV, she could reach a larger audience and therefore, inspire more young girls to get interested in STEM. In The Know is finishing up its first season of episodes and is expected to air on its YouTube Channel by July 2014.
