Santa Rita Jail Youth Education Program (SRJYEP) is a FREE 4-hour program designed to educate and influence our youth (ages 10-18yrs) in their decisions not to enter a criminal lifestyle, and to become productive citizens in our communities. This is NOT a "scared straight" program. It is a safe program held every 3rd Saturday of the month. They are taken on a tour, observe the intake processes and living conditions, as well as listen to a panel of inmates (men and women) tell their stories and ask questions. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for our youth and parents!!
