What does it mean to use AI for good?

Beyond 12 and Alex Bernadotte joined CareerVillage, CodePath, College Possible ,Teacher Development Trust, and Per Scholas at the in New York City to discuss how can change lives. We’re honored to be in the company of these game-changing nonprofits that are using GenAI to make the world a more equitable place for all as part of the Salesforce Accelerator – AI for Impact, a philanthropic initiative that aims to help purpose-driven organizations gain equitable access to trusted generative AI technologies.

For us, AI isn’t just a cool new tool — it can help us implement our vision for how human lives can be more secure, joyful, and fulfilling. Beyond 12 uses AI to provide the automated support first-generation college students need so our coaches can focus on the aspects of support that can only be delivered through real human connection. 🫱🏼‍🫲

Now, with support from Salesforce, we’re developing a GenAI-powered Content Development Assistant to automatically gather, store, synthesize, and publish customized content for over 3,000 colleges on our MyCoach mobile app. We estimate that this tool will reduce our team’s time by 66%, allowing our Content Associates to focus on strategy rather than repetitive tasks.📱

Filipino American History Month is celebrated annually in October, commemorating the first recorded presence of Filipinos in the continental United States in 1587! Native Filipino sailors conscripted into the Spanish navy as labor came ashore at what is now Morro Bay, California, 33 years before Pilgrims from England arrived at Plymouth Rock. Now, Filipino Americans are the second-largest Asian American group in the nation!
Following years of campaigning and advocacy, the Filipino American National Historical Society established Filipino American History Month in 1992. In 2009, Congress recognized the month of October officially as Filipino American History Month in the U.S.!
We’re grateful for the incredible contributions of Filipino Americans and Filipinos in the United States, from the hundreds of thousands of Filipino people that fought under the United States flag during World War II to the millions since that contribute to every part of modern American society today. We will also take time this month to spotlight our Filipino students and coaches!
