I spent Sunday morning cleaning Chinatown with the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, the Asian American Bar Association, Asian Youth Services Committee and OCA East Bay. I was so impressed by the level of maturity and responsibility of the high school youth leaders and volunteers, some even coming from beyond Oakland. Keep up the great work and wishing all the best for the 37th Annual Chinatown Streetfest!

One of my favorite things about being a member of the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce is the opportunity to network with other local Black owned businesses. Tonight at Biz Chats and BBQ, I enjoyed meeting new people and listening to a financial panel while eating some delicious bbq. A gem of advice that stood out to me tonight came from Ms.Ernestine Nettles, the first Black woman President of the League of Women Voters Oakland, “Be better than their best” ✊🏾✨
