This summer, one of our students joined several Little Fire Weekend Maker Workshops and built his own Computer Vision Laser Tracker. 🎯🤖

He started with Arduino/ESP32 programming and basic electronics, then moved on to computer vision, servo control, 3D-printed parts, testing, and debugging—turning his own idea into a working prototype.

What I love about this kind of project is that students are not simply following instructions. They are learning how to turn an idea into something real.

Once he understands the core principles of Computer Vision + Arduino/ESP32 + Motor/Servo Control, he can easily extend them into many other projects, such as an AI robotic arm, vision-tracking robot car, or object-tracking robot.

Once the fundamentals are there, the next question becomes:

“What do I want to build with them?”

🚀 Looking for a Host Family in Mountain View!

Little Fire Robot Academy is looking for a local family in Mountain View, CA to partner with us in launching a small neighborhood robotics club for children.

What the host family provides:
🏡 A living room, garage, or other suitable space for a small group of students.

What we provide:
🤖 Robotics kits and learning materials
👨‍🏫 An experienced robotics instructor
📚 Our complete STEM/AI robotics curriculum
🛡️ Commercial liability insurance for our programs

As a thank-you, your child can attend the robotics program free of charge while learning and building projects alongside other students of a similar age.

If your family has a child around 8–12 years old who is interested in robotics, coding, AI, or engineering, we’d love to connect. This is also a great opportunity to help build a local STEM learning community in Mountain View.

Feel free to send me a message or tag someone who might be interested!

Today a recent high school graduate worked with a current high school student to build an RFID Hotel Access Control System.

Instead of starting with complex AI projects, we began with a practical hardware project that covers the fundamentals:

* Arduino IDE and C++ programming
* Circuit building
* Soldering
* Hardware debugging
* System testing

The completed project will become part of the student’s engineering portfolio for future college applications.

It’s a great start, and we’re looking forward to building more projects together.

🚀 Beyond Coding: Building Future Innovators Through AI & Engineering Projects

At Little Fire Robot Academy, we believe students learn best by creating real projects—not just completing worksheets or following tutorials.

Our AI & Engineering Portfolio Program combines:

🤖 Artificial Intelligence
⚙️ Robotics & Embedded Systems
🖨️ 3D Design & Prototyping
đź’» Programming & Electronics
🎤 Presentation & Communication Skills

Students work on meaningful, hands-on projects such as wearable technology, AI-powered devices, smart systems, and engineering prototypes. Along the way, they develop creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Most importantly, each student builds an Engineering Portfolio that showcases their learning journey, innovation, and real-world project experience.

Whether your child dreams of becoming an engineer, entrepreneur, researcher, or simply wants to explore the exciting world of AI, we’re here to help them turn ideas into reality.

📩 Interested in learning more? We’d love to connect with you!

At Little Fire Robot Academy, we are creating bilingual robotics learning materials for Chinese schools in the U.S. and Canada.

Many families want their children to learn robotics, coding, and AI, while also improving their Chinese language skills.

Our learning cards help students understand basic robotics concepts such as motors, sensors, LEDs, and programming. At the same time, students can learn related Chinese vocabulary, pinyin, and English explanations.

We hope these materials can help Chinese schools bring more hands-on STEM learning into their classrooms.
