You weren’t meant for average. And deep down, you know it.
The moment you step out of your comfort zone, everything changes.
Yes, it’s uncomfortable. Yes, it’s risky.
But so is staying stuck in a life that doesn’t excite you.
Most people play it safe and wonder why they feel unfulfilled.
You? You have a fire.
And it’s time to follow it.
Don’t wait for perfect timing.
Don’t ask for permission.
The people who do big things aren’t always the most talented. They’re just bold enough to start.
So take the leap.
Dream big.
Act bigger.
Because the only way to build an extraordinary life is to stop living an ordinary one.💪🔥

You have the power to empower others.
It is your purpose to empower others.
You have the right to empower others.
You have been blessed with the ability to empower others.

New Running On Ayers blog post!
Calm Before The Storm — Actively Pursuing Goals
Read about my journey back into the “normalcy” of my life after beating appendix cancer. Why marathon training had to take a back seat and the lessons I’ve learned along the journey. Be the best you in the moment you’re in.

Tomorrow we shift Appendix Cancer Awareness month from running to the arts as we embark on 12 Rounds: Kyrah Ayers vs. The Visitor where I'll be sharing the work I wrote during chemotherapy.
Join us as we enjoy the art of poetry. This event is brought to you in partnership with:

To raise awareness about Appendix Cancer Awareness Month we will be collecting donations and donating all ticket proceeds to the ACPMP - Appendix Cancer / Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation.
Purchase a copy of My Light in advance to have it signed by me after the show (I'll apologize in advance for the bad handwriting).
Hope to see you there!

Over the past two days, I've had the pleasure to table for the ACPMP - Appendix Cancer / Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation at the Island Running Festival put on magnificently by Out Front Endurance.
Tomorrow, I return to my 9-5 after being off for almost a year including surgeries and chemo. I'm thankful to have this as an option, a right, and a gift.
The dream chase doesn't stop here. In one week, I'm excited to release twelve brand new poems about the journey through 12 Rounds of chemotherapy.
I hope you join me as I unpack the experiences with an optimistic outlook on life through poetry, humor, faith and determination.
Limited tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/12-rounds-tickets-958272969247
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the ACPMP - Appendix Cancer / Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation to promote awareness and to support the research.
I'd love to see you there.

I love how many upsets there were in the NBC Olympics & Paralympics.
The announcers were shining spotlights based on statistics while the winners were putting in the work.
Example: the men’s and women’s marathon - the announcers talked about the difficulty of the hills. Olympic records were broken in both.
Lesson: don’t worry about the odds. Just do your job the best you can.
