Flowers are truly medicine ✨

My relationship to flowers, especially white Roses and Cempazuchitl lately has truly been changing. As a young girl I understood flowers were beautiful and I liked them occasionally but it wasn’t until I got older that I REALLY fell in love with flowers. 💐
As a kid I used to help my grandma take care of her Orchids in West Palm beach and be witness to the joy and peace they brought to her daily life. Watering each one with care in the blazing West Palm Beach sun. This gentleness and peace has been finding me again through the flowers and I am thankful.

I’m considering focusing on floral medicine these next few months to prepare for Spring. What do you think? 🌹 Who is your favorite flower spirit?

For the love of Greenhouses! I helped build my first Greenhouse last week and it felt incredible! Im learning how piecing together puzzles and building things from the ground up really does my little Omo Oggun heart so much justice. I definitely got a little scratched up in the process but this just comes with being a woman of the earth right? Im looking forward to building more houses and cold frames and actively looking for more building work! I love that this is where life and spirit has lead me considering my paternal grandfather was a crucial architect for the city I grow up ins We give thanks everyday 💚🛠⚒️🖤

Our Hydroponics have truly been BOOMING! We now have a whole bunch of cucumber flowers, Tatsoi greens ready to harvest, and the herbs like the Spearmint are getting bushyyyu! Growing food in the projects is possible and I have been seriously considering how we can expand. A Patreon post will be coming soon on our journey with pest control if you all are curious. For now our tower lights have turned off so it’s time to wind down. 💤

So let’s talk about Catnip. You may know this as a plant that causes great excitement for your feline friends and puts them into a state of euphoria. Did you also know that this plant is also great as an herbal preparation? This gentle spirit is a relaxing nervine that serves as a mood regulator and helps ease anxiety. This plant is so gentle this is a preparation that can even be shared with kids. The flowers of this plant contain most of the properties but the leaves are useful as well! Recently Catnip, Butterfly Pea Flower, and Oatstraw has been the combination of a lifetime!

HELP SAVE OCHUN RIVER. 🍯🏞For anyone that may not have heard (yet unfortunately it does not come as a surprise) Sacred Land and Sacred Waters are at stake yet again. Ochun River in Osogbo (Nigeria) is under threat due to mining from a foreign company and country . This mining will cause the rivers water to become toxic when it has been potable and safe for generations. For anyone that may not understand, the disrespect of this project is quite literally a slap in the face. Water is life, and we all need it to be here. Not many sources of water have been spared in the face of Colonialism and Capitalism, and if we don’t do something there literally won’t be water left for us to survive. Not to mention that this is sacred space. For an Orisha that offers such great love and warmth, introspection and grace….. She is not to be fu**ed with y’all! Warriors do not go down without a fight.

Friends, Familia, Community. It has been oh so long. Feels as though we have been in hibernation and it is now time for us to shake off the sleep and rejoin the world. We have been deeply called into caring for self as our journey through Divine Root takes on a very big context. Many things are in the works and we have learned how to deliver this message without letting the cat out of the bag! That being said, we are both in the process of refining our skills, creating capital, creating community and gather as many materials and team members as we can in order for this business to serve YOU! So, Happy Spring! May you also get some pep in your step in the right direction for you and may it lead you to where you were always meant to be. 🤍🕊

Great rise beautiful babies!!!! This Saturday Divine Root will be vending in honor of International Women’s Day!!!! We will have a plethora of goodies, toner sprays and energy cleansers, healing baths, and tea blends, our Con Calma Salve and even food for the brain like books and posters! We will also have a very special Pilón (mortar and pestle) for sale that had been through many a cleansing ritual and helped us start Divine Root! Come by this Saturday and get to see the table AND set the mood!

Peaceful evening family! I know it has been quite some time but I wanted to come and share a bit about the things that have been transpiring these past couple days! I have been slowing down with Divine Root activity to activate the spirit instead. This has been looking like laser sharp focus on what is next for me! This includes deepening my spiritual practice, planning, budgeting, praying, trying new things. These are all signs of expansion so we can continue to show up in the space as necessary. I have been considering opening up Consultations and custom product options to also deepen the practice for listening to what is needed. Thank you for all of the love, patience, gratitude, feedback, community, and guidance!
