The Yosemite High School Music Program is proud to present our 17th annual “Nite on the Town” gala performance on Saturday, March 28th from 3:00–5:30 PM and Sunday, March 29th from 3:00–5:30 PM. Doors open one hour prior to each performance.

This event is our program’s largest fundraiser of the year — and it sells out annually. For this special weekend, the YHS Gymnasium is transformed into an elegant performance venue featuring multiple stages, beautifully decorated tables, delicious intermission treats, and outstanding music performed by our incredibly talented high school students.

We invite you to support our students by sponsoring a Community Table for $300. Your sponsorship includes:

* Reserved seating for eight guests

* Special recognition during the event

If you wish to just purchase a general admission ticket for $30, then click a GREEN seat to reserve a single seat.

Your generous support directly benefits our students by helping fund uniforms, guest clinicians, equipment, travel expenses, and performances throughout the year. We are especially excited that this year’s fundraising efforts will support our upcoming Spring Trip to Yosemite National Park.

The YHS Music Department is so proud of our students who have been representing our school in honor ensembles in Fresno and Madera Counties and at the State level! They had to audition and be selected, then rehearse and perform difficult repertoire on a short timeline. They represented YHS with pride and excellence!

1. Benjamin Brokaw 🎺 YHS junior, was the 1st chair trumpet in our local FMCMEA HS Honor Band, and was the 2nd chair trumpet player in the California All State HS Wind Symphony (the highest ensemble in the state!) He was also the only FMCMEA student selected by guest conductor Richard Saucedo to receive a summer camp scholarship, and was invited to audition for a national honor ensemble European tour.
2. Ozlynn O’Connor 🎹 YHS junior, performed on piano with the FMCMEA HS Honor Orchestra
3. Elodie Mills 🎤 YHS junior, sang soprano in the FMCMEA HS Honor Choir
4. Lysje Van De Wal 🎤 YHS senior, sang alto in the FMCMEA HS Honor Choir

We also expect to have participants in the FMCMEA HS Honor Jazz Band in May!

You're invited to the second annual Jazz Paint Night! At The Hitching Post on Tuesday November 18th, from 6-8pm. Come enjoy music performed by the talented YHS jazz band and paint a festive Christmas cow! All paint supplies are provided and there will be an instructor.

In October we had our Alumni Night and celebrated our seniors! Thanks to all the alumni who made it out, it was great to see you again. And wonderfully silly to have three quad players in our small band. Our seniors - Lysje, Veronica, and Ian - congratulations! You are great human beings and we have loved having you in the band. Thank you for your musicianship and leadership. And Happy Halloween everyone! Great costumes and great energy at the game. Go Badgers! 🦡 🎶
