for traditional and affordable karate National Team.

The Japan Karate Association is the only martial arts organization legally and officially recognized by the Japanese government. It's unprecedented connection to true masters of budo from its past provide the JKA with a history steeped with time-tested effective techniques and philosophies for a peaceful existence for its practitioners. The dedication to accuracy and precision of form, speed of te

chnique, and control of breath and body power make this style of karate highly recognizable and desirable. Individuals and families interested in improving the quality of their daily life would surely benefit from the approach at this family style dojo, where the cost for such training is well below what others are charging. Our dojo in Montville is one of thousands around the world in nearly 150 countries. Andrew Bakoledis founded the JKA of Montville in 2005 because he loves kids, teaching, and karate. A student of Shotokan Karate for 34 years, Andrew earned his 5th dan in 2015 and is a 4-time member of the U.S. He was the captain of the team kata national champions, along side Mike Jacobs and Joe Vincente. The combination of teaching and coaching with his karate training has enabled him success as both a karate student and instructor possessing a unique sense of empathy and patience, ensuring appropriate student growth for all. Sensei is recognized by the JKA World Federation, qualified as a Judge(B Level), Instructor(B Level), and Examiner(C Level). Bako sensei is a CT certified secondary math teacher of 29 years, with classroom experience in grades 6-12. He was a recognized high school soccer and baseball coach for many years and holds an Administrator's license in Education in the state of CT.
