🥋 BLACK BELT SPOTLIGHT 🥋
Today we celebrate Sensei Shane.
A Black Belt is more than something you wear around your waist. It represents the person you’ve worked to become.
Every Black Belt started as a beginner. There were techniques they couldn’t do, days they struggled, classes when they were tired, and moments when quitting would have been easier.
But they kept showing up.
Through years of training, they learned to use the 4 Powers of a Martial Artist:
🎯 FOCUS — Set a goal and keep your eyes on it.
🔥 DISCIPLINE — Keep working even when you don’t feel like it.
🙏 RESPECT — Value your instructors, training partners, family, and yourself.
💪 CONFIDENCE — Believe in yourself because you’ve proven what you can accomplish.
That’s why earning a Black Belt is so powerful for a child. The belt is important—but the habits, character, work ethic, and confidence developed while earning it can last a lifetime.
Today we’re proud to put the spotlight on one of our Dragon Gate Black Belts. 🐉🥋
Black Belt isn’t the finish line. It’s proof of what can happen when you refuse to give up on a goal.
