So much fun going back to Newsday yesterday with Amity Communication and Journalism Students.

In 1998, before they were all born, I introduced one of the first "Media Convergence Models" in America. I have taught it all across America to Media Sales Reps and Sales Managers, as well as Journalism Students.

How wonderful to see it actually in action at the new Newsday headquarters in Melville! An amazing newsroom and news floor. 2 Amazing, world class studios for Newsday TV and a audio studio for recording Podcasts.

Exploring Newsday, the oldest publication house in in Suffolk and Nassau county with our Mass Communication exchange students. Having the opportunity to tour the premier institute led by project manager Steve Silverstein, the students understood the intricacies of the media house and the proper convergence of Media.

The Department of Radiation Oncology, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York warmly hosted the students of Amity University.

Dr Tom K Hei proceeded over an insightful and informative workshop on the theme of, "Radiation and Environmental Sciences in Human Health".

Our 3 Continent Program students got a chance visit to the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York City. It was a unique and enriching experience with a guided tour of the UN headquarters and learn about its history, functions, and operations and also visits to the General Assembly Hall and Security Council Chamber.

It indeed offered a valuable opportunity to learn about the world and its challenges and to witness the efforts to address them.
