Big strides and BIG accomplishments at St. Mary’s Catholic School!

Our St. Mary’s Elementary Cross Country runners had an incredible showing at the Knoxville District Championship at Victor Ashe Park! We are so proud to announce that two of our Crusaders have qualified for the 2026 Tennessee State Elementary School Cross Country Championship!

Congratulations to our state qualifiers:
💙 Robyn Burge (3rd Grade) – 37th Place
💛 Madelyn Alexander (5th Grade) – 48th Place

A special shout-out to Fernanda Lopez (5th Grade), who achieved an amazing personal record by shaving 20 seconds off her mile time and a way to go to Francis Day (3rd Grade) for representing our elementary boys with determination and heart!

We are incredibly proud of ALL our runners for their hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the season. Every race is an opportunity to grow, and these Crusaders continue to show us what it means to run with heart!

🌟WE EARNED IT… AND WE DANCED FOR IT! 🌟

Last Friday, St. Mary’s Catholic School students turned up the NEON and celebrated in style!
Our students worked hard, ran hard, and helped make this year’s Fun Run an incredible success—and it was time to celebrate their achievement with an EPIC Neon Dance Party! 🎶

The lights were glowing, the music was pumping, and our Crusaders were dancing, laughing, and having a blast with their friends!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, friends, and supporters, St. Mary’s exceeded its $25,000 Fun Run goal! Every student played a part in this accomplishment, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork, and school spirit they showed along the way.

What better way to celebrate than with a little NEON + MUSIC + DANCING + FUN! 🎶🪩✨

More pictures to come!

So Much Learning Happening at St. Mary’s Catholic School!

Kindergarten scientists were busy exploring matter with a fun and fascinating experiment using Oobleck—a substance that can behave like both a solid and a liquid! 🧪

But the learning didn’t stop there! Our students also turned a simple classroom activity into an opportunity to build important fine motor skills. Using clothespins to attach leaves to a string, they practiced their pinch grasp, hand-eye coordination, and hand strength while reaching, stretching, moving, and solving problems along the way.

At St. Mary’s, learning happens through curiosity, creativity, movement, exploration, and hands-on discovery! We love watching our students learn, grow, and develop skills that will serve them well both inside and outside the classroom.

There’s always something amazing happening at St. Mary’s Catholic School! 💙

Our Pre-3, PreK-4, and Kindergarten students had a special visitor on Friday!

Johnny Appleseed stopped by to read a fun story and pass out delicious apples to our little learners. A little storytelling, a little apple fun, and lots of smiling faces!
