Calling all high schoolers who love the outdoors! 🌲
Protect Tennessee Forest is teaming up with the Tennessee Forestry Association for the Tennessee Forestry Jobs Camp, three days of real forestry work with the people who do it every day.
Campers head to Natchez Trace State Park and Forest to try out equipment, meet working foresters and get a true look at what a career in forestry involves. No classroom, no desk, just the woods.
Spots are limited, so don't wait. Applications are due August 28. There is no charge to attend.

Save the date! Please note we never charge for a vendor booth and anyone offering vendor spaces for a fee is a SCAM and not associated with the university. We are mainly an educational festival with limited space for vendors. All of our vendor spaces for 2026 are taken and we are not able to accept new vendors. Our regular parking lot will be closed until 3pm on August 29 and all visitors will be expected to pay the $5/car entry fee. If you wish to visit the arboretum without attending the Butterfly Festival on Saturday, August 29 please plan to arrive after 3pm. This is the only day we charge for entry and all proceeds go to support the upkeep and improvement of the arboretum. Please note: there is no butterfly release at the festival.

We have two great interns this summer! Karmen Bowen from Tennessee State and Piper Warmbrod from The University of Tennessee! Today was Karmen’s last day with us. We can’t wait to hear about her next adventure in Japan!
