Yesterday, the UT Arboretum hosted our 11th annual Butterfly Festival. The weather was beautiful and we had a huge turnout!! We had a special table called Wings of Hope where the attendee’s were welcome to color and/or send a message to the children at Dolly Parton‘s Children’s Hospital. The finished product is beautiful and we hope it will be inspirational for all the kids and staff at the hospital. 🦋

The UT Arboretum has erected a Peace Pole as part of the Rotary Clubs' project to have 250 poles up by the end of the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding. Our pole highlights the critical importance of insects in our environment. The quotation on the pole stresses finding peace in nature: "There is a profound peace to be found in watching insects carry on with the quiet, simple rhythms of nature."
Please stop by and see our Peace Pole at the start of the Nature Book Trail. 🍃

An injured owl is on the road to recovery after it was rescued by members of the Knox County Sheriff's Office, including Deputy Dalton Swanger, according to the Owl Ridge Raptor Center.
