🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨

September is Community Helpers Month at Growing Acorns, and we’re looking for a community helper to visit our little learners on each Tuesday & Thursday in September (if possible).

Our Saplings class, ages 3–5, are learning about the people who serve, protect, care for, and help our community every day. We’d love to make this hands-on by giving them the opportunity to meet a real community helper, learn about their job, and see the tools or vehicles they use!

We know everyone is busy, so we’re asking for just 30 minutes. That’s it! A short visit can make a BIG impression on a little heart. ❤️

Some of the helpers we’d love to welcome:

🚒 Firefighter + truck
👮 Police Officer + car
🚛 Garbage/Recycling Worker + truck
📬 Mail Carrier + truck
🏗️ Construction Worker + equipment
🚑 EMS + ambulance
🩺 Doctor/Nurse
✈️ Pilot
…and MORE!

You don’t need to prepare a presentation — just come share a little about what you do and let our kids see a real-life community helper!

Every Tuesday & Thursday at 8:50 AM, before the doors open and our day begins, something special happens.

Our staff and staff children gather together to pray.

We pray for our students.
We pray for their families.
We pray for wisdom, patience, and joy.
And most of all, we pray that God would use us to be a light for Jesus in the lives of every child entrusted to us.

Because Growing Acorns is more than a place to learn and play. We want every child who walks through our doors to experience love, kindness, and the light of Christ through us.

Before we teach them, we pray for them. 🙏🏼

🌱 WEEK ONE = A HUGE SUCCESS! 🌱

Okay… we’ve been a little quiet on social media because we’ve been BUSY having fun! 😂💚

Our very first week at Growing Acorns was full of play, laughter, new friends, exploring, learning, and SO many sweet moments. 🥹🌳🐿️

And guess what?! We’re officially ready for WEEK TWO! 🎉

Our classrooms are settling into their routines, our little acorns are making friends, and we are SO excited for all that’s ahead!

✨ We still have a few spots available, but our waiting list is starting to fill up! If you’ve been thinking about Growing Acorns for your little one, NOW is the time to reach out. ✨

🩺❤️ Safety comes first at Growing Acorns!

This week our team completed CPR and First Aid training to make sure we're prepared to respond with confidence if an emergency ever arises. While we hope we never have to use these skills, we believe there's no substitute for being ready.

As opening day approaches, we're committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and well-prepared environment where your little ones can learn, play, and grow.

A very special thank you to Scarlette Valentine for providing such an incredible CPR and First Aid training for our team. We are so grateful for the knowledge, encouragement, and confidence you shared with us. We truly couldn't have asked for a better person to prepare our staff!
