There is A LOT happening at RMS right now, Vipers!

Our students are writing books, creating incredible art, earning Hard Hats, making music, preparing to compete in Academic UIL, and taking the stage! And on top of all of that, our Viper Players were named a TETA Exemplary Campus for 2026–2027!

We LOVE seeing our kids find their thing, try something new, work hard, and SHINE!

A few dates to get on your calendar:
πŸ“… Oct. 12 | Student & Staff Holiday
πŸ“… Oct. 13 | PLC Day / Student Holiday
🎭 Oct. 16 | Teal & Black Revue
πŸŽƒ Oct. 30 | Trunk or Treat & Chili Cook-Off
🎭 Nov. 6 | UIL One Act Play: Nevermore!

RMS Families,

We are excited to host our first school dance of the year tomorrow, Friday, September 18! Please review the flyer for important information regarding the time and ticket prices.
Please note that all students must be picked up promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the back of the building.

Dance Details:
What: RMS School Dance
Who: All RMS students. Students from other campuses may not attend.
When: Friday, September 18 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Cost: $5. Tickets will be sold during all lunches through Friday and at the door on the date of the dance.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What happens if I am late picking up my student?
We understand that traffic on Highway 380 can be unpredictable, so we ask families to plan ahead. Students must be picked up promptly at 6:00 p.m. Students who are not picked up on time may lose the privilege of attending future after-school activities.

Can my student stay on campus until the dance begins?
Yes. Students attending the dance may remain on campus after dismissal and will be supervised by RMS staff from dismissal through the end of the dance.

Can I take my student home and bring them back?
Yes. Students returning to campus for the dance should be dropped off at the back of the school in the bus lane. Once a student enters the dance, however, they may not leave and return.

My student did not receive a physical ticket. How will you know they paid?
Students will not receive physical tickets. When students purchase a ticket, their name and student ID are added to our master list. RMS staff will use this list for admission to the dance. If your student believes there is an error, please have them see Mr. Brooks before the dance.

Should I send my student with extra money?
Students will have the opportunity to purchase snacks from the concession stand and items at the photo booth. An additional $5–$10 should be sufficient.

We are looking forward to a fun afternoon with our Vipers!

Have a great day!
