Janene Bergen Vocals Janene Bergen is a classical singer and voice teacher, residing in Oak Park, IL. She teaches lessons I also want students to become self-sufficient.

Teaching Philosophy:

As a classically-trained singer, I will instruct students in all the basics of good, solid vocal technique. My goal is to help students discover how to produce the most natural, healthy, beautiful sound they can with the most ease and efficiency. We will address such things in lessons as: posture, breath control, diction, resonance, phrasing, expression and communication. But

there is so much more to singing than learning basic technique. Singing provides you with the opportunity to learn many incredible life lessons - how to overcome your greatest fears, how to tackle problems one-step- at- a- time, how to trust yourself and take more risks, how to steadily work towards your goals, how to gain confidence in yourself. Singing is extremely personal because you ARE your instrument. So you have to also become open and vulnerable in order to express your innermost self. This can often be a frightening proposition, but one that also brings tremendous rewards. I believe that everyone has something valuable to say and to bring to the world. And singing is a great way to communicate your deepest thoughts and beliefs – the deepest part of you and what makes you unique. Singing is a journey. Come take the first step . . .

I’m Dreaming of a . . . RED . . . Christmas! Join Treble in a Red Dress, Chicagoland's fabulous Cabaret duo, for their inaugural holiday show! Janene Bergen, vocalist, and her musical partner, Ryan Eikmeier, vocalist/pianist, will get you into the holiday spirit with festive favorites such as Santa Baby, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Jingle Bells (Barbra’s version, of COURSE!), Baby It’s Cold Outside and more. And don’t miss Treble’s “White Christmas” medley including your favorites from the Irving Berlin movie musical: The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing, Blue Skies, Count Your Blessing Instead of Sheep, Sisters, Snow, Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me, and White Christmas! Do a little holiday shopping and then Ji-ji-ji-ji-ji-jingle all the way to Davenport’s for duets and drinks with Treble in a Red Dress!

$20 admission plus two-drink minimum (non-alcoholic drinks are available).
