For our newest Longfellow alums, Bike Walk Oak Park is organizing a practice bike ride to Julian.
Grab your helmets and rsvp below!
When: Monday 8/24 @ 6:30 pm
Where: Meet at Longfellow blacktop
Who: 6th Graders and anyone they'd like to bring - siblings, family and friends!
We will be led by a local Instructor certified by the League of American Bicyclists to teach bike safety and handling skills.
There will be similar rides from other D97 schools, but feel free to share this info widely as the goal is to encourage all Julian and Brooks students to learn their route to school. Even if you would not be going on this exact route to school each day, it's a great opportunity to gather and have some fun while biking.
And there will be popsicles!
