We loved welcoming so many new families at today’s ice cream social — a fun tradition to help kick off the new school year! Just a few more days until our halls are filled with these smiling faces. Can’t wait to see you next week, Lions!

The World Cup may be underway, but we had our own big games last night! Huge congratulations to our 8th grade spring soccer team for capturing the championship in the Forest Park League and finishing their middle school careers on top! 🥇🏆 Shoutout also to our 4th grade team for an incredible season and second place finish.

Soccer is such a special sport at St. Giles because it brings co-ed teams together from 2nd through 8th grade. High fives to all our athletes, coaches and families on a fun season. See you on the field this fall!

We’re excited to be at A Day In Our Village today! Come visit us in Scoville Park until 4 p.m. All Lions who wear spirit wear will even get a special treat. 🦁

Yesterday was the last day of the school year and we celebrated with a final all-school Mass and special kindergarten graduation. Congrats to our young grads! Wishing all our Lions and their families a wonderful start to summer. 🎓☀️

What. A. Day! Cross-grade experiences are one of the things that sets St. Giles apart and yesterday’s Field Day was a perfect example of that in action! Second through seventh graders celebrated the end of the year with a full day of fun, friendly competition. Teams including Lions of all ages raced, relayed, tugged, jumped, kicked, volleyed and more. K-1st enjoyed their own games, too.

One of the best parts of the day? Watching our beloved faculty compete dressed in inflatable costumes!

Our 4th graders brought the Windy City to life by creating incredible replicas of famous Chicago landmarks! From skyscrapers to iconic city sights, students have been diving into the rich history and architecture that makes Chicago so unique.

As part of their curriculum, students even ventured downtown this past month to immerse themselves in the city’s world-renowned architecture firsthand! Their creativity, attention to detail, and excitement for learning truly shined through in every project.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!! 🦁 🎉

This morning, our 8th graders celebrated their last Mass with us before being celebrated by the school community during our beloved annual clap-out. As the graduates paraded around the block with their parents, Lions from all grades cheered them on.

We have so much “paw pride” for the Class of 2026! Join us in wishing them the best as they embark on their high school journey. Once a Lion, always a Lion!
