For as long as I’ve lived in Oak Park, I’ve found myself drawn to the Day Nursery. Each time I drove by, maybe it’s something about the historic building and the little rocking horse sign out front that made me smile. I can’t quite explain it, but I have always felt connected to it. Years later, after trying a few different childcare settings, we enrolled our son Finn, just before his 3rd birthday, and it felt like we had finally found exactly where he was meant to be.
What we love about the Day Nursery isn’t just the wonderful playground or the neighborhood adventures and walks they take the children on, or listing to Finn go on about something new he's learned that week (we were a big fan of him learning about doing laundry! 😂)—it’s the people. Every teacher and staff member has welcomed our family with such genuine kindness, warmth, patience, and care. They don’t just care for the children; they build relationships with them and with us, always asking how they can best support our family and reminding us that we’re partners in Finn’s journey. As parents, there are few gifts greater than dropping your child off each morning, knowing they’re surrounded by people who truly see them, believe in them, and celebrate them. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of the Day Nursery family, and we’re so thankful that Finn gets to grow up in a place filled with so much heart.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, KELSEY FOR KIND WORDS. WE APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY !!!!! ☺️
