Retirement, here they come! We had a fantastic time celebrating Mr. Wilkes, Mr. Seitz, and Mrs. Ratliff last week at their surprise retirement party. Thank you to everyone who came out that night and celebrated with us and those who sent in messages.

REMINDER: Suprise Party Tomorrow!

Come and join us to celebrate Mr. Wilkes, Mrs. Ratliff, and Mr. Seitz's retirement. The party will start at 7:30 at 607 Harvard Street, Oak Park, IL (the new school building). It will take place after the graduation ceremony starting at 6:30. There will be food, balloons, and many memories shared.

We will also be making a small video for them, so if you want to prepare a 30-second (or longer) message for one or any of them, that would be great! If you can’t make it and still want to be a part of the video, feel free to record something and share it with [email protected].

Calling all alums and Cornerstone supporters! Surprise Retirement Party PSA!

Mr. Wilkes, Mrs. Ratliff (Ms. Westmoreland), and Mr. Seitz are retiring! We plan on having a surprise party to celebrate the retirement of some cornerstones of Cornerstone. So if you want to celebrate with us, please join us on May 31st to send off these fantastic teachers!

What Kind of Party: surprise (don't worry about social media; All three of them don't check it often ☺️ )
When: May 31st (it will be held after the graduation ceremony)
What Time: 7:45 p.m. (Graduation will be finishing up just about then)
Where: 607 Harvard Street, Oak Park, IL 60304 (this is where the school is now located)
Who: anyone that would like to help celebrate Mr. Wilkes, Mrs. Ratliff (Westmoreland), and Mr. Seitz
What to Expect: We will have soda, snacks, and cake

Our annual Dickson Valley trip is always a highlight of the school year! Last week we spent two days rock climbing, playing laser tag, crossing the "bridge of death," and so much more. The students even introduced Mr. Wilkes to virtual reality. On the way back, Mr. Seitz showed the students his collection of autographs and memorabilia. We also learned that Mr. Seitz appears in the movie "Rocky II" for a split second. Needless to say, a fun time was had by all!

📚 Happy National Principal Day, Mr. Wilkes!✏️

We want to thank you for all that you do! Mr. Wilkes is one of the cornerstones of Cornerstone. Along with being principal, Mr. Wilkes also teaches Math and Science, creates fun art projects for the students, teaches students how to juggle for the Medieval Banquet, and so much more. He also helped found CSA in 1994. We truly appreciate the work that you do!
