Planting, caring for, and harvesting a garden allow children to use much of what they've already learned, whether it's science, math, or writing.
we started looking into the life cycle of the plant and learn about seed germination.

As Maria Montessori said, “Nothing should be given to the brain that is not first given to the hand”. We use every opportunity to make learning practical.
There are so many lessons to be learned in the garden. Knowledge of nutritious, fresh food, an understanding of the natural world, a sense of the hard work it takes to watch something grow–these are all lessons kids can learn by getting their hands dirty in the garden.
