The Guardian Knights have taken the field. This fall, 25 sixth through eighth graders are playing baseball together as part of our community athletics program, made up of students from Chicago Christian, Calvin, and our neighboring communities. A few games in, our young athletes are developing their skills, competing with excellence, and learning what it means to guard their hearts, on and off the field. This is what Guardian Knights was built for. Open doors, top-tier coaching, and a program rooted in faith and community. We've already had families ask about a spring season. Please join us in welcoming Josh Lenarz to the CCS team. Josh joins us as our new Associate Director of Admissions. He's a Trinity Christian College graduate who spent the past 27 years serving the Trinity community in Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, and as Head Women's Soccer Coach. This fall, he'll also join the boys soccer coaching staff at Chicago Christian High School. Josh says CCS has played a meaningful role in the lives and faith of his own four children, and now he gets to be part of that story himself. Welcome, Josh!

This week, Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights is hosting its annual Cradles to Crayons drive, and our high schoolers would love your family's help. Cradles to Crayons works to end clothing insecurity, which the organization says affects about 1 in 2 Chicagoland kids. Now through Friday, the CCHS Leo Club is collecting art and school supplies at the main office, 12001 S Oak Park Avenue in Palos Heights. It's a great chance for our littlest Knights to see what our oldest Knights are building.

The first week of school is behind us, and it feels like the right time to introduce you to Mr. Ben Dirksen, our Oak Lawn campus Principal. Ben comes to us from Pella Christian Schools in Iowa, where he served as PK-8 Principal. He holds a Master of Education in School Leadership from Dordt University. Ben and his wife Gabi have moved to the area and are already getting to know our Oak Lawn community. In his own words: "Each child at CCS was created by God on purpose and for a purpose, and it is of crucial importance to me that their name, their story and their future are cherished and cultivated here."
