Experiments with chalk paint, water beads, cloud pictures, recycle art, frogs and more! Spring is a great time to be in preschool!
Today was worm day at Fun Friday! We learned that worms have five hearts and breathe through their skin. The votes determined that sour gummy worms were better than regular gummy worms. We made paper worms and made them grow! We painted with worms (fake) but also discovered that they’ll stick to the wall! Just another day at preschool!
Lots of Leprechaun shenanigans this week! He even peed in the toilet!!! Where would you hide your gold??
Dinosaurs, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes are on minds these days!
We’ve been so busy we have hardly had time to post any pictures! Here’s what we’ve been up to!

Thanks to all our families for making our Sing-a-long yesterday such a success! We hope everyone enjoys the break and we will see you on Tuesday Jan 2nd!
It’s looking a lot like Christmas! Plus….one of our favorite activities of the year….the Gingerbread house decorating event! Even church staff joined in. Glad it was a non-competitive event…..I’d hate to have to pick a winner!
How is November going so fast?? What a fun week! We had a puppet show on fire safety, made a LOT of turkey creations, played in the great weather outside and had a blast with cranberry craziness at Fun Friday!
Rain outside didn’t matter at Fun Friday! We went camping inside and pitched tents, roasted marshmallows and ate s’mores!

Happy Halloween! We had so much fun parading in front of our families! Here are a other things we did today!
Alpaca Day! What great weather we had to enjoy our fluffy (and not so fluffy) friends!
It was apple pallooza at Fun Friday today! Students peeled, chopped and mixed apples to make our own apple sauce (yum!). We read 10 Apples on top and tried balancing apples on our heads (many could!). Some brave friends even tried apple bobbing! and in between all that… Many of our friends caught a “train” to unicorn land! 😃
Thanks to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue for staff training today! They provide a curriculum for incorporating fire safety into the preschool classroom. Looking forward to a fire safety puppet show and station visit next month!
Another full week! We talked about emotions, apples, and bakers. Ms. Cathy led music for the first time this year and we used all our senses to explore!
This Wednesday we had our first chapel time of the year. Rev. Dina talked about being the light of the world and everyone got to light their (battery-operated) candle!. And at Fun Friday we explored our 5 senses!
