🚒 ❤️ A Visit from Our Neighborhood Heroes! 👨‍🚒

Today we welcomed our friends from Volusia County Fire Rescue Station 22 for their annual visit to STEAM Station Preschool and Liberty Oaks Academy!

Our little learners and students had the opportunity to explore the fire truck and ambulance, meet the firefighters and medics, and learn about the important work they do to keep our community safe. Experiences like these help children build confidence, ask questions, and become familiar with the community helpers they can count on. 🚑

A special THANK YOU to the families who helped us put together an appreciation basket! Our kiddos also signed a card to share their gratitude with these everyday heroes. 💕

We are so fortunate to have Station 22 as our neighbors and community partners. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to make such special memories with our children!

🌿💚 We’re celebrating Happy Plantsgiving with Neighborhood Forest!

You may remember Neighborhood Forest as the wonderful organization that brought us our free trees during our Earth Day Festival last April! 🌳 This fall, they’re back with their 3rd Annual Happy Plantsgiving Fall Plant Giveaway.

🪴 Children can register to receive a FREE succulent to take home, nurture, and enjoy!

💚 Open to all children in our community. Enrollment at STEAM Station or Liberty Oaks Academy is not required!

🍂 Right on cue…

Just a few days before the first day of fall, our playground gave us this little surprise. 🍁 In Florida, where summer doesn’t give up easily, these colors definitely caught our attention!

One of the beautiful things about outdoor learning is giving children the time and space to notice, wonder, and experience change as it happens.
