Together In Education~TIE Parent teacher group for R.C. Waters Elementary and Oak Harbor Intermediate School.

With the closing of Rocky Ridge, Carroll, and Graytown schools, the parent/ teacher group needed a new name. A name that would unite our communities, our families, our students, and our staff. Suggestions were gathered and Together In Education (TIE) was unanimously chosen

Support Needed: School Supply Drive – Collection and Delivery Plan

Dear Benton Carroll Salem School District Community,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Savannah Taylor, I am writing on behalf of Together In Education, Benton-Carrol-Salem’s local parent teacher organization. I am reaching out to invite you to join a special community effort to support local students in grades Kindergarten through 6 at R. C. Waters Elementary and Oak Harbor Intermediate School.

We are organizing a school supply drive, collecting student necessities for the upcoming school year 2025-2026. Many families are facing financial challenges, and we want to ensure that every student starts the school year with the tools they need.

We are reaching out to local businesses, church congregations and organizations willing to partner with us by collecting school supplies as a group or making a financial donation. Your support will go directly toward providing students with the materials they need to succeed in school and would make a real difference in the lives of these students.

HERE’S THE PLAN:

Collection Period:
We encourage groups to collect supplies throughout June and July. This gives plenty of time for the community to contribute (items in high demand are crayons, dry erase markers and glue sticks). Attached you can find a copy of the school supply list for the upcoming school year.

Main Drop-Off Day:
Join us for our primary delivery event on:
Saturday, August 2nd | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Location: Front entrance of Oak Harbor Intermediate School
Volunteers will be on hand to help unload and organize your donations.

Alternate Drop-Off Option:
If that date doesn’t work for you, we’re happy to coordinate another time. Alternate drop-off appointments are available from July 28th to August 8th.
Just contact us at [email protected] or call or text Savannah Taylor (419)217-5133

Sorting Donations:
If possible, please sort your items by type (e.g., folders, crayons, pencils), but if not, no worries we plan to have labeled boxes ready at the drop-off location.

We’re so grateful for your support and can’t wait to see the impact this will have on our students!
We would be happy to answer any questions or provide more details.

Greetings RC Waters/OHIS Families!

We are putting together the final touches to throw a super fun GLOW PARTY for our students. But, we need your help!

While parents should be attending the party with their children, we are in need of several volunteers for face painting, refreshments, decorating, clean up, & supervising! If you are able, please use the link below to sign up and volunteer your time. Help us make this event great!
